www.notreble.com is a really cool website for bass players (with one of those “I wish I would have thought of that” type names). Check them out, they’ve got a lot of great stuff from product info to blazing chops videos.

NAMM is next week. I’ll be heading down with a C1 (this one unofficially named the Vincent) and a production version of the Super P. This Super P turned out every bit as great as the David Swift prototype. This one is passive and we’ve designed a really cool passive mid/tone control that is flat at the center detent, rolls off treble on one half like a traditional tone contral and cuts mid in the other half for a really sweet fingerstyle or slap tone.

The new headstock badge replaces the scallop used on the Super J and the new string tree is influenced by 1950’s Jet-age American hood ornaments.

I’ll be hanging out at the Hipshot booth #5735. Monday I’ll be at Bass San Diego for Canadian Bass Day.

George Furlanetto from F bass and I will be at Bass San Diego Monday January 23, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 PM. It will be a great chance to meet and hang with the folks in So Cal. I’ll be bringing our new Super P as well as a Custom I if any of your guitar buddies want to come too. George and I will have lot’s of inside stories and information to share so be sure and join us.

We’ve got to give props to David Swift, the guy’s got FEEL! We managed to get the Super P prototype into his hands just in time for the New Years Eve Jools Holland special. This Prima Artist has incredible tone, figure and sustain. The smoke inlays, knobs, pickup covers, control plates were all cut from the top and contrast layers before glue up.  It’s currently on it’s way to Bass Northwest in Seattle.

It’s nice to get some notice from the mainstream. The C1 guitar has been featured on the Christmas list of www.liquidgoldbaby.com

Here’s a new C1 that’s on it’s way to Destroy All Guitars. Nothing like a Black/Black/Maple guitar with lots of polished aluminum and chrome. Let us know if you agree.

Here’s a Z2 with a Northern Ash top where we forced the cathedral effect to make the grain more dramatic then added a very subtle Trans blackburst finish. Typically our blackbursts have a purple undertone to them. In this case a little yellow was added to push things in a slightly forest green direction.  This bass will head to Bass Direct in the UK next week.

Our Italian distributor Groovemania came up with the idea to put racing stripes on a Lee Sklar. Is this cool or what?! I’ve had Italian exotic cars on my mind lately and that’s given me an idea for an update to our logo… more on that later.
