Bass of the Month – Prima Artist Feather Walnut - July 31, 2012

It’s always a celebration around here when a Prima Artist gets assembled. This one is as figured as they get with Feather figure crotch claro walnut top, back, pickup covers, headstock veneer, AAAAA flame maple contrast laminations in both the body and neck, figured walnut/figured honey maple semi-hollow core, a Wenge stringer under the fingerboard and down the center of the neck, birds eye maple fingerboard, figured walnut and wenge “smoke” inlays. The electronics are Prima Artist pickups through a Glockenklang 3-band pre-amp. We only build a handful of Artists per year due to the rare materials and sheer amount of labor involved in each one.  This one is heading off to Bass Central.
