Premier Guitar Award

We had a call today from Premier Guitar telling us that the Z3 won a Premier Gear award. We’re really happy about that. The October issue is available online right now and the print version will be at the news stands any day.

Premier Guitar Z3 review

Lots of news lately. Premier Guitar just uploaded a really nice review of the Z3. A cool thing they do with the online reviews is include sound samples. Check it out.

PS: Calen and Jeff did a GREAT job of recording the guitar. Be sure to listen through either studio monitors or good quality headphones. You’ll be glad you did.

A new Custom II guitar hits the gallery

We’ve been hard a work perfecting the Custom II guitar. New bridge, new Dimarzio pickups, new inlays, new Hipshot tuners, new rounder neck carve and the new “Smoking Monkey” (ain’t he cute!) switching system makes it’s debut. Passive mid boost with passive variable mid contour, cut to lead, master volume and tone all in a simple, intuitive control layout. The Dimarzio pickups have a wonderful single coil tone yet are humcanceling, the passive mid boost warms them up to humbucker territory and the cut to lead gives a great crunchy yet clear humbucker tone. Photos are up in the CII gallery http://www.dingwallguitars.com/guitars/custom-ii/custom-ii-gallery/

Bass of the Month

I think this Z3 qualifies for Bass of the Month status. For this one as per the customers request we amped up the contrast to make the figure pop as much as possible. I’ll let you describe the look in your own words. Have a great weekend all.
